1) After a preposition: Before leaving, you need to speak to Dulce.
2) As a noun or noun phrase: I love swimming. Swimming is very good for your
health.
3) As an adjective: That movie was really boring.
4) After certain
verbs : like see, watch, hear, smell etc. I heard someone playing the guitar.
5) Present participles : The present participle of most verbs has the
form base+ing and is used in the following ways:
a). as part of the continuous form of a verb: I am working
b). after verbs of movement/position in the pattern: verb + present participle: She
came running towards me
c). after verbs of perception in the pattern: verb + object + present participle: I heard
someone singing.
d). as an adjective: Amazing
e). with the verbs spend and waste, in the pattern: verb + time/money expression +
present participle: Don't waste time playing computer games!
6) As a gerung phrase: A gerund phrase consists of a gerund, its object, and all
modifiers: Eating blackberries without washing them will make you ill
7) Progressive tenses: These tenses are formed with von to be and the infinitive
+ - ing.

Phrases with mind:
wouldn’t mind (= would like)
don’t mind (= I am willing to)
would you mind (= will you please...?)
I don’t mind waiting for a few minutes.

• admit, consider,deny, imagine,remember, suggest
